The breakfast options such as cereal, fruit juice, and toast were exceptional. Our room was spacious, brand-new, and had a pleasant view of the sensory garden. The hotel's location was unbeatable, being very close to the seafront, beach, shops, town. the Church of St Edmund was nearby.

We stayed for weekend and would stay here again. Full English breakfast had a lot of options, like toast, fresh fruit, pastries and fruit juices. The location was unbeatable and brilliant, relatively close to Rainbow Park.

A quiet location in easy reach of the sea and the town. It is also close to a CoastHopper bus stop which means the entire coast is accessible without resorting to using the car. Richard & Linda make you very welcome, the rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. We had a double room with balcony which proved a boon for enjoying the sunsets. The on-road parking was perfectly safe and there is plenty of it. It was our first visit to The Gables but it will not be our last.
The description of The Gables said that pets were not permitted & we took this to mean that the premises were pet free - this is far from true. The owners have both cats & dogs and whilst the animals are well behaved they could prove problematic to anyone with asthma or allergies. It might be an idea to make the situation clearer.

The weather was lovely and I had a really good stay in a lovely seaside town. The staff were all attentive and helpful. The room was brand-new with a balcony to sit on. The hotel had a central location to the excellent Chives Brasserie.

Enjoyed my stay here in September, everything was great. The location is amazing, right by the seafront, shops, pubs, and restaurants, and close to both the beach and town. 🌊

Very quiet you would never guess that it was full until you came down the next morning to find lots of people enjoying a lovely breakfast. Also it was very close to town so if you wanted to go out for a meal and a drink it was very convinient we found a lovely restaurant in the high street called Chives where the food was delicious.
Our room had a lovely sea view but it was up two flights of stairs, so be aware if you don't like stairs.
